Slow go

When I picked this book as my next reviewable I thought it was interesting.
It ended up being a slow read and I became disinterested several times during my reading.
But then the next instant I would find something that pulled me back in. However those instances did not come enough and I was back to barely wanting to pick up the book.

Quick & Yummy

When I ordered this book I originally thought it was all slow cooker meals but it wasn't.
Either way I still did find them quick and full of flavor.
I missed the first book of this so I was glad when this became available.
I would recommend this to anyone that wants home cooked meals that are healthier and do not take much time to prepare.
When I come home from work I really do not want to take time to cook so if it's a quick prep or better yet something that could be prepped before hand I am all about it!

Photographs from the edge review

I've always been fascinated with photography. To see the differences between two photographers taking the same picture and how they could make you see different things in each. From something as subtle as what color to focus on to where the light source is coming in to just that little glimps in someone's eye that tells you want they are thinking.
In this book you jump into your time machine back to my favorite decade the 80's and see that the world consisted of more than just big hair, lots of makeup, bright neon colors in clothes and leg warmers, you see beauty.
For each decade he explains everything from what camera & filters were used to tips on how to get the shot.
The book ends in January 2015 with a picture of green sea turtle hatchlings!
The book is a journey in pictures from animals to Mount Everest to volcano bursts to the Milky Way to Monks and celebrations.
I would highly recommend this book for everyone. It's insightful for up and coming photographers, a storyline for a traveler or simply a coffee book to flip through and see beauty anytime you would want.

Review French Country Cooking by Mimi Thorisson

France is on my list for places to visit. Though I've never been I am strangely drawn to it.  So I was excited for this cookbook.
It is not just a cookbook, there are stories, pictures and drawings that bring you into the world.
As far as reviewing this book it would be a review in progress as I make another meal from it but I can say that I was happy that I did not have to do the conversions they were already in the recipes. I would recommend this book without a doubt.
Keep checking back as I add on to these reviews.

In such good company review

I was so happy to see this book available since I can tie so many memories from the show.
I use to watch this show with my Nanna and Mom and even though I know a lot of the backstory I ordered the book anyhow. I was so happy that I did.
I was laughing & reminiscing with each page. I showed the book to my mom(who I always try to get her to sit & read a book) and my aunt both of which immediately started telling stories of their favorite scenes.
Carol Burnett is timeless and having her open up the hidden or forgotten parts of her past was amazing.

Tried

I tried several times to get into this book but I just couldn't.   I can't really even pinpoint why, it just wasn't for me.
Though I have to say I found a few bright spots in the dark so I cannot rule out that I would not attempt to read it again someday in the future.

A book for every retail associate!

I could not stop laughing or connecting with this book.
When I ordered this book I did think that it was a full length book but it is actually a book of guided quotes that follow a story.
Besides the quotes the pictures are beautiful and vivid jumping off the page.
With every guided quote that hit home I easily thought of a situation that it could have been used.
I highly recommend this book to just have at home that you can flip through (takes only about a minute to read) after a long day or have at your desk after a long morning.

Updated Shakespeare

I should preference this by saying that I have not read The Merchant of Venice before reading this book so I went in with open eyes.
Though not a book I would normally read I did get pulled into the characters. I would recommend this book for all those Shakspear lovers out there who just want an old tale to twist a bit.
